George E. Pickett's First Wife's grave at Shockoe Hill Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. Sally Harrison Minge was the daughter of Dr. John Minge and the great-great-grandniece of President William Henry Harrison and the great-great granddaughter of Benjamin Harrison, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. They were married in January, 1851 and she died later that November at Fort Gates, Texas during child birth.
